In this blog post, we’ll guide you through step-by-step instructions on how to make a box from scratch using basic materials that are easy to find in your home or local craft store. So roll up your sleeves, grab some scissors, and let’s get started!
Preparation steps
- Gather materials For this project, you will need a few simple supplies. You will need a cereal box, wrapping paper, and scissors.
- Cut the wrapping paper to fit the cereal box Start by cutting the wrapping paper to fit the cereal box. Make sure that it is long enough to cover all of the sides of the cereal box. If necessary, trim off any excess wrap paper so that it is just about flush with the top and bottom of the cereal box.
- Apply adhesive to one side of the wrapping paper Now, apply adhesive to one side of the wrapping paper. This will help hold the wrap paper in place while you are cutting it to fit on top of the cereal box.
- Place wrap paper on top of cereal box Place the wrap paper overtop of the cereal box, making sure that it is evenly distributed across all four sides of the box. Make sure that there are no gaps between the wrap paper and the surface of the cereal box – if there are any gaps, they will be visible when you remove the wrappaper later on!
- Cut excess Wrap Paper off Once you have placed all of your wraps correctly, it is time to start cutting them down to size! Use scissors to cut away any excess wrappaper until it is flush with both top and bottom of-the-cereal-box-. Remember not to leave any gaps between wraps and cardboard!
- Remove adhesive Now that the wraps are trimmed to size, it is time to remove the adhesive. Simply use a wet cloth or sponge to clean the surface of the cereal box and then peel off the wrap paper.

How to make a box
You can make a simple box for packaging with a few supplies and some time. All you need are some cardboard boxes, tape, and scissors.
- Determine the size of your desired box. You will need to cut the sides of the boxes so that they are at least 1 inch shorter than the height of your item(s) to be packaged. The length of the boxes should also be equal to or slightly less than the width of your items.
- Cut two pieces of cardboard that are an inch taller than the height of your item(s) and long enough to fit around them perfectly (see photo). Make sure that one piece has a flap that is large enough to cover your items completely (see photo).
- Tape one end of each piece of cardboard together so that there is a seam along one side (see photo). This will create a “box bottom.”
- Place item(s) inside the box bottom and press down gently on top (see photo). If necessary, use a hammer to create even pressure on all sides.
- Fold up the flaps on one side so that they line up with the seams in step 3 (see photo). Now press down firmly on both sides again to secure flap in place (see photo). Repeat steps 4-5 for other side of box. More Post Visit.
